16 November 2013 | Posted By 1,569 views No Comment

The Living Building Challenge Energy Petal is intended to signal a new age of design, wherein the built environment relies solely on renewable forms of energy and operates year round in a pollution-free manner. In this 4-hour in-depth review of the Energy Petal, participants will gain an understanding of how to meet the Net Zero Energy Imperative of the Living Building Challenge. This interactive session will present detailed case studies of several Net Zero Energy Building Certified projects, identifying the design and operational challenges these projects had to overcome to meet their Net Zero Energy goals. Appropriate for anyone working in the building industry, this workshop is particularly suited for participants interested in Net Zero Energy and the strategies and behavior change needed to achieve NZEB Certification.

The Portland workshop will take place on December 4, 2013 at 1pm, while the Seattle workshop will occur December 12, 2013 at 8am. Follow the links for more information.

These workshops are sponsored by BetterBricks and presented by International Living Future Institute.
