AIA Seattle’s Data-Driven Design Forum

4 November 2013 | Posted By 36,575 views No Comment

The performance expectations of our built environment are exponentially increasing, creating a new demand for the rigorous collection, dissemination and deployment of hard research in the practice of architecture.

Firms at all scales are finding that the integrated utilization of research in design is critical to achieving public outcomes such as healthier environments, reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, more productive workplaces, and social and mental well-being.

Join AIA Seattle on December 10 for their Data-Driven Design forum with keynote speaker Billie Faircloth, Research Director,  KieranTimberlake.

  • What is the value of applied research to your architectural practice?
  • Why are firms investing in research, and how is it improving the performance of their buildings and their practices?
  • How can firms best access and utilize existing research data?

These questions and more will be addressed through presentations, case studies, and panel discussions at the full-day forum. Head to AIASeattle.org to learn more.
